air con not working help

air con not getting cold is there any way i can check if any gas in system or do i have to get a pro out  if so does any one know a good one in oxford

a/c is best checked by someone who knows what they are doing tbh.... :(

agreed.

You can get halfords pressure test gauges, but with air-con. one false move and its big bucks to fix. Best to take to specialist.

One test you can do is this:

With the engine running and the climate set to auto, press the off button. Listen at watch the revs carefully, the revs should drop, and engine note change.


Press Auto, and the reverse will happen. Revs will rise and engine sound deeper.

If you get this, that means the compressor is working fine, and its prob just a re-gas needed  :y

Tunnie, if gas very low, the compressor wont kick in ;)
