matrix, well having out gheater AND water problems

some of you may have ready my thread ref having had to replace the heater matrix well having pout the dash back together, i have found that the switch to direct which vent i want is not working i have looked behind and the four pipes are all connected, anyone got any ideas, as it is constantly on the air vents, ie cant switch to the front windscreen.

also flushed it though and started filling up with water have put approx 18 pints in does that sound about right as it has only just became level.

well as far as i remember there is 1 3/4 pints to a litre....

in the Haynes manual 2.5 & 3.0litres have 9.7litres for a manual 9.5litres for an Auto..

More than likely a vac pipe, check to see if it is connected as it goes through bulkhead ( by heater hoses ) and check the rest of the system in engine bay for damage

Where it gpes through the bulkhead will that be next to the heater matrix pipes and as far as i can see there is nothing damage in the engine bay bit
