had the cam cover gaskets done about 4 months ago, because the plugs on both sides were covered in oil.
seemed to be ok for a while until the oil started pouring out.

As it was 'ok for a while' this is unlikely, but it could be one of the half moon bits on the camcover seal was not located correctly, and later popped out?   I think you can just about reach around the back of the cam cover to feel for this (not sure about near side though -and this is the most likely to have not been located properly).  Worth a check I think.

If a half moon wasn't in place, it would have leaked from the start.

I think it's unrelated, and a union leaking..

HI ALL. SORRY ITS BEEN A WHILE BUT WEATHER AND HOLIDAYS DELAYED ANY WORK ON THIS OMEGA.

STRIPPED IT DOWN AND FOUND BREATHER PIPES BLOCKED, CLEANED OUT THOROUGHLY.
WHILST REMOVING OLD GASKET NOTICED THAT NONE OF THE O RINGS HAD BEEN REPLACED.
REPLACED ROCKER COVER GASKETS, O RINGS, ACTUALLY THE FULL KIT AS RECOMMENDED BY MARK DTM.

EVERYTHING SEEMS OK AT PRESENT.

JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU CANNOT TRUST GARAGES TO DO THE WORK PROPERLY.

MANY,MANY THANKS FOR ALL YOUR ASSISTANCE ON HERE.

CAR MAY BE UP FOR SALE IN A LITTLE WHILE AS CHANGE OF JOB LOCATION MEANS A LOT MORE MILES DAILY, WILL LET YOU KNOW
