Auto dimming mirror
« on: 06 August 2007, 17:16:13 »

:question Hi, Can anyone confirm whether the auto dim mirror from Omega B and mini facelift will fit directly onto the mount in the facelifts. Has anyone done it maybe. Thanks. :)

I fitted an auto dim mirror to my 2.6CDX facelift, no mounting problem, but the electrical connectors are different. You will need to modify the wiring to suit.
From memory you need +12, ground, exterior lights & reverse light.

Yes, it will fit. You need to provide wiring though, 3 can be picked up from courtesy light, 4th from passenger kick panel.

Hi TB. In the "maintenance guide" it`s showing a two wire pickup for the mirror. Is it OK just to follow that guide and if not can you guide me as to the 4 connections in your quote. Cheers, Rob. :)

As a minimum, 2 wires - +ve and 0v - will get it going. 3rd wire is to fedd to courtesy light (to prevent dimming when courtesy light on), and 4th is to reverse lights in passenger footwell to prevent dimming in reverse.
