parts for mv6
« on: 06 August 2007, 13:58:44 »

thanks baron.

hi all
iv got an mv6 ex traffic car with a couple of problems
i havent got and headlight adjuster in the car as they are self levelling so i have been told and my motor to do this has gone duz anyone have any ideas where i cud get one and how much they are.
also my abs and trac light is on would anyone take a guess as to which sensor and how many have gone or wud u think that a stage 2 diagnostic would be the best way to go............
i know the cars are punishing on fuel but cud anyone tell me can the cars be superchipped.............

If the car is 3.0 (i.e. not 3.2) then talk to M-Tek performance about chipping , he is a member on this site. As far as I know there are no chips for the newer engines i.e. 2.6 & 3.2, maybe because it requires re-flashing the ECU instead of replacing a chip.

Not sure about your other problems, but if you are anywhere near TheBoy then he has the original Tech2 diagnostic tool - and unlike Vx dealers he actually knows how to use it, and use it well he does. But be quick because his Tech2 is about to go...  :(

ABS/TC light on, if the speedo has stopped as well then it more than likely to be the ABS ECU. You can try and clean the n/s rear ABS sensor first to see if it helps. The only true way to be certain is via Tech 2 to see if it can talk to the ECU or not. IIRC.

But as Dazzler says your lack of ABS TC & speedo is all the same (likely to be expensive :'() problem. ;)
