Omega B Alarm Fault code = 125
« on: 15 August 2007, 20:12:35 »

Dear Forum

I have plugged my latptop into my 1999 omega B using the Opel Diagnostics Tech2 for windows software and extracted the following code. I have also searched the forums so sorry if it has been already answered somewhere else.

125 Exists     (Alarm section of the software)

If I reset the code it only come back after arming the alarm, my LED inside the car also flashes fast for the first 10secs letting me know that I have a fault.

I have bypassed the bonnet sensor and checked that all the door, boot switches work etc.

Replaced the power sounder, think it could be the ultrasonic thingy next to sounder but not sure, If I disconnect ultrasonic unit alarm never go off on its own.

Any help gratefully received

Greg  :)

Alas TIS doesn't seem to cover alarm codes.

I take it it was the cheapo tech2, as real one would tell you what 125 meant...

Hello `The Boy`

I think the real Tech 2 unit is probably nearly worth as much as my car! Bought an interface unit from talktomycar website, it did help me cure my air bag so I was quite chuffed that I fixed that one.

Is there a list of codes anywhere for this one?

Thanks for replying, do you have a real Tech2 as I have been told you are a dab hand at tech2's ( You are Highly recommended)

Thanks for replying

TIS 2000 has the definative list, though doesn't appear to list alarm system.

Yes, I have a real Tech2, used to live in Aylesbury, but not up in deepest Brackley (North Bucks border)

I guess I will struggle if it is not in TIS2000's list?

People keep mentioning that there maybe a fault in the light cluser by the interior mirror? would you know anything about this or whether it maybe my ultrasonic horn thingy?

If I get stuck can I pay you a visit? will your unit display what the 125 is?

Where abouts in Aylesbury where you?

Thanks

It should display what 125 is.

Sorry, meant to say that I used to live in Aylesbury, but now live in Brackley...
