aux belt removal

Can anyone suggest the easiest way to remove aux belt?

Just put a spanner (15mm IIRC) on the nut in the centre of the tensioner pulley and turn it to relieve the tension on the belt and slip it off. To replace, feed round all pullies except the water pump, relieve tension and slip onto water pump pulley.

Correct, apart from waterpump bit - its a 4 pot ;)

Also, if its the first time youve done this then make a sketch of the belt route....it saves head scratching later ;)

not sure about cs but this is from the crank to drive the belt, T is tensioner and gen in alternator

Is this as you look at it? Because on my car the alternator is below the tensioner. The tensioner seems to be at the top left as you look at it on my car? :-/

its slightly different for your car the diagram is for a 2.0 16v 4 pot not the v6.
