Multi Ram question
« on: 19 August 2007, 17:05:57 »

Can anyone tell me what the multi rams are, where they are, and how I know if they are not working? My v6 seems a little sluggish at low revs compared to my last one.

I aren't the best person to explain this ::)

As I understand the Multi Rams work at certain times in the rev range to give a smooth power range.

Looking at your engine from the front of the car.
Four breather pipes go into the back of the Plenum, (say Ecotec on the top) the rear Multi Ram is right under the right hand Breather Pipe. If you blip the throttle you should see a plastic finger like thing moving (arrow is pointing to it)

The front Multi Ram is in front of the "Bagpipes" near the radiator. When you rev the car to around 4000rpm that finger should move (arrow is pointing to it).

Hope this helps :y
