H&R Hubcentric Wheel Spacers.
« on: 29 August 2007, 00:12:29 »

Hey guys any of you use these on your Omega?  I have a set of 5 spoke Astra SRi wheels on my Omega but I hate how they tuck under the fenders.  There is almost an 1.25" gap between the tire and where the quarter panel folds in so I got enough room for a 25mm spacer on each wheel.

Now the real question would be what would happen to the Wheel Bearings if I use such spacers on the rear end.  The wheels have a 37mm offset and they are 18x7.5 so with these spacers my offsets would go to 12mm.  I am worried about the stress these are going to put on the hubs.  The DRA series bolt to the hub and then the wheel bolts to the spacers so the studs are going to be fine without increased stress but the Bearings are what worries me.

Also who has wide offset wheels on their car that match what I am looking for.  Any input on this would help.  Thanks Guys.

I had hub spacers on an Astra some years ago and had no special problem with bearings etc.

No idea about the Omega though.

Sorry, never tried them.  Markjay said above that he had used them on previous cars without problems, but wasn't an Omega/Catera
