bulb change help

how do i change the bulb for the electric sunroof controle try to gently pull the surround down but will not budge do not want to crack surround any idears must buy a haynes book i think

pull knob down.  a bit of clear plastic (light guide) unclips, then if you have replacable bulb (not all are), it pulls out...

got clear plastic bit off after breaking one off the little clips but still nothing moves can not see bulb plastic bit will not stay on now but swich stays on and works does it matter that the clip is not on ware is the bulb ???????

some do not have user changeable bulbs - sounds like yours :(

Hi im also need a new bulb in the sunroof dial.Can not get the knob to come off.mine  is a facelift would that have a diff way to get to the Bulb. :'(

The bulb on my sunroof control has never worked, did have a look at it but the tiny bulb is hard solderd onto the motor board and is a real bugger to do but it you want to do it then get a new led bulb and solder 2 long legs to it and then solder the new legs to the original.fiddly but doable. ::)

pop the courtesy light out, 2 screws there, then it should unclip...

Sorry slightly off-topic, but does everyone have very very very dim backlight on the main lights control knob, to the extent that it can only be noticed when parked inside mountain cave on a moonless night?  :o

I bought a control off Ebay that had been modified with the blue LED's, now that you can see, even in daylight! In fact I liked it so much I changed all the fascia switches, the gearshift indicator and all the window switches for the blue LED's.
