VX waterpump is less than £30 but fitting means removal of timing belt and tensioners as pump is mounted behind.

Worth replacing belt and tensioners at the same time as the pump due to the level of work involved, especially if its towards its time - 40k miles or 4 years.

If you are any way competent with spanners, get the belt DVD from Robin Hood.  :y

I would change pump yourself... ...if cambelt is near due (40k/4yrs), change that as well along with tensioners.

..are you sure the cambelt itself has to come off?  I thought (from limited memory of doing the cambelt once) that the pump would clear the cambelt.   Obviously all the points above about doing the belts are valid and the amount of stripdown is the same.

but when you remove pump, loads of shitty coolant flies out all over it...  ...so remove it, or make a 'guide' from a bit of cardboard.

Agreed with above, its a doddle to do - not timing belt driven so not esssential to change belts / tensioners, but may be as well doing if near time.

Change from £30 and held on by 3 torx bolts...
