USING VECTRA ALLOY CAM-COVERS !!

As above has anybody changed to the alloy vectra cam-covers??

if so how did you go about the oil filler ??
any suggestions would be great  :y

A few have done it... you'll need a funnel with a long neck!

that i dont mind .......lol

so its deffo a case of fit straight on with a tweeked funnel should a top up be needed ??

appreciate the quick reply can crack on tommorow now as was jubious id have a prob ....

Iv'e changed to the veccy covers and yes they go striaght on without any probs.  

As said filling oil is done by using a funnel.

Guilty as charged matey lol.... ;D

Only thing i will say is keep on top of the breathers as when using the plastic covers, they leak as the breathers get blocked. With the metal covers it will have to find an alternative route and as you drive a veccy too, you will know the crank seals go!!

yep shall be a routine clean out  although hope to have the engine out over the winter and refit a tweeked 3 ltr ...   :y

Good luck with it...   ...as you have found out, own of those funnels with a flexi hose on bottom is probably worthwhile...
