Having said that, I may be about to eat my own words. When I was having serious limp mode issues with my 1996 Elite, Mark spent the best part of a Saturday pulling my transmission electronics apart, and I learned heck of a lot.

He even "disected" my gearbox ECU, and pulled the BasicIOS chip out of it, to transplant into another ECU, as part of the troubleshooting process.

Now, I just wonder if you could flash the BIOS on a later ECU with the later firmware, and then plant the chip into an older ECU....

you're startin' to come across all garbled & not-understandabubble. It about time you turned the PC off & hit your pit.

Hopefully I won't ever have to do another night shift (night turn for the Pie eaters amongst us    ever again. I did 15 years of them in my last proper job! Enough for one life time.  
I'm on afternoons now but I must hit my fart pit sooner rather than later.
