Air con in the dark!!!!
« on: 19 September 2007, 09:02:47 »

Hi Guys, I have a W reg face lift 2.5v6 elite.
over the weekend the panel of controls and display for the climate control and fans etc just stopped working, no life in the panel at all.. so i can't even turn the fans on. every thing else electrical seems fine...
has anyone else had this... ? is it likely to be a fuse or do you think I need to start e-baying my kidneys?

There is a guide in the maintenance section on location of fuses and I would start there as it does sound likely - of course you may have to find out why it blew in the first place, but you may be lucky.

Yes, check your fuses as the first port of call. If you find one blown, replace it, and see what happens.

They are meant to be very reliable, so I would be trying a replacement panel from a breaker.
Probably cheaper that a trip to the garage, BEFORE they start finding faults!

If the whole lot has died and the fuse is OK... what about the plug ?? Has it just fallen off ? or come loose ?
