Sorry if this isn't alowed but I have a crank sensor on ebay at the moment as mine went and I bought the wrong one first time as mine is a later 3.2. It has an oblong connector which I think should fit yours but check the connector with the one shown on ebay.

It's £30 by the way and has not been fitted.

It is an easy fix having just done it today using the advice from the link you been given.
