Ive got a 2.5 V6 and the rear multiram doesnt move...........how can I check what is wrong with it ?

Check the vac pipe layout, and check you have vacuum where vac pipes go in to solenoid.

Sorry to sound thick........I pulled a pipe off a box thingy today (to the side of the multiram) and it was sucking.......is that correct ?

yup.

can you move multiram by hand?

have you swapped solenoid from front multiram to test?

presumably no engine light on dash?

Which is the solenoid ?
I have no lights coming on....

Firstly how are you checking that it doesn't move???? The secret for the rear one is to give the throttle a good hard blip rather than a hard rev which is whats needed for the front one.

Ive tried all sorts to get it to move.......and it wont (unless I move it with a screw driver !!!)
