Brake sensor
« on: 06 October 2007, 19:39:30 »

I have a 2001 facelift Omega which appears to only have one brake sensor on the nearside front, well a connection at least (sensor is missing, only the socket clipped to the wheel arch exists)
Can soneone tell me where the sensor plugs in on the caliper/pads as I couldn't see anywhere.
At the moment I have bridged the socket with a short length of wire to stop the warning on the display.

You need to buy a sensor, about £8ish, and it clips onto the pad.

Thanks but how does it clip to the pad? Does it clip to the anti-rattle clips?

Should be a little hole in the pad, sensor just pushes into it.

Looking at the pad you see the wearing surface material and a metal portion to one side.  Within that metal portion there is a spring embedded and within the centre of the spring, a hole.  The wear sensor fits in that 'ole.....   :y  The holes either side are where the retaining pins go....
