CENTRAL LOCKING REMOTE

Hi,back again this is starting to become an habit,remote fob has being playing up for last couple of weeks it gave up today.simple change battery i thought, guess again. Can anyone help, are they only vaux or can you get after-market ones and will it need programing to match up to car,thanks.....paul

P.S. changed battery within the 3 minutes that it states in the manual

Hi,
If you change the battery you will need to re-sync. Switch the ignition on and hold down the lock button (or maybe the unlock) anyway the doors will lock and unlock. Sorted.
If you have a new fob then you need to have it sync'd with Tech 2.

Always best to lightly abrade the the battery contacts and gently bend (ever so slightly) to improve the contact with the battery.
