power strearing

ive found after replacing the power stearing fuse after it blow the once before the fuse as just blown again taking out the controls for the heating etc after replacing its ok,but i have a feeling its soon going to blow again.

any idea's chaps to what could be the cause.

 put the car in for its mot today and it passed with flying colours  :ywell pleased i was

Check ciggy lighter - I think that is on same fuse.

When mine blew it was the rear cigarete lighter that was at fault, I plug a 12volt coolbox in there quite often, and it seems that over time the whole unit had become loose, causing the base contacts on the lighter to touch and short.

Fuse 14 does however do a lot of other things, so could be any one of these circuits ..

Power steering,
Vauxhall alarm system,
cigarette lighter,
rear window blind,
air conditioning system,
heated front seats,
heated wiper jets

yea i had prob on family members car and there was a 5 pence piece in rear ciggie lighter !! ;D

belter checked the rear cig lighter and hey they was a little piece of metal looked like the end of a mobile phone charger and seems to be working fine :y
