It was soldered in on the motor I fitted to my Senator, but that was from an older car that had a blank fitted instead of the infra red receiver dome. My 99 Omega has a push in lamp - found out after I'd removed the motor etc  :(

Had the same problem  ;) go to Maplins, you require a WQ13P which is a 'wire-ended filament type bulb', nominal life 5,000 hours, price 0.99p each, buy two  :y.
You just have tobe careful to feed the wires into the fitting so they do not touch, fitted mine 50,000 miles ago, I still have the spare one  :)

I dismantled the switch to the point it left me looking at a blackened glass bulb, used a pair of tweezers to pull it out, bulb with two wires came free, I thought I had broken the fitting, went Vx dealer who had no idea, never seen one, said I had 'bust it'. Looked in the Maplins catalogue, bought two (still have one),
made sure the wires were straight and fed them into the hole, light worked on the second attempt, no solder, just lightly pushed in, worked ever since (car had 80k on the clock, 130k now).
sorry to go on.
best regards  :y

My local dealer must have a better calibre of parts dept staff, cos I just went in and asked for an Omega sunroof lamp, looked it up on EPC & voila!

Does the knob just pull off then, or is ther a knack to it??
Once off can you see the bulb or is further stripping envolved?? Just trying to get an idea of how long it will take me.
