Wheel Spacers
« on: 27 October 2007, 11:51:27 »

Hi all
I've bought a set of 17 "BK racing alloys perfect condition but wrong offset.
They are +50 and the Omega is +35  to +38 according to all sites.
Now after checking some photos I've collected of the wheels on several different cars they all seem to be the same design ie the  lip depth and frontal appearance and "look " of the wheel is identical whether they be on FWD or RWD cars.
I'm of a mind that the way the manufacturer achieves the two offsets offered for vauxhall cars is in the thickness of the hub and longer studs.
So I think by using 12mm spacers and suitably longer studs I could achieve the same effect.
My question is whats the experience of the forum on spacers I guess by the number of mod'd cars here they have been used .Any issues with balancing ,etc. ? and where is the best source for GOOD items.
Bear in mind they would only be 12 mm ( 1/2 inch )
Tried calling the manufactures this AM but no answer.
Thanks in advance
Don
