a/c and ambient temperature
« on: 12 November 2007, 12:49:45 »

Quote from owners manual: "Operation with the cooling unit is only
possible at temperatures above approx.
5 °C. Below this temperature the cooling
unit (cooling compressor) switches off
automatically
."

Laitley temps aorund here have been around 0 °C, but the a/c still works.
Is this normal or not?

I don't know what the criteria are for it to switch off. It may not be ambient temperature but the formation of ice on the evaporator that disables the air con, so it may work initially until the frost sensor detects a very chilly evaporator.
