AS FAR AS I AM AWARE THEY WILL FIT, BUT THE PLASTIC TRIM BELOW DOES NOT LIKE THE LATER LIGHTS, AND THEY DONT FIT AS WELL. :(

They are a different shape and don't fit too well. Mini facelift lights are a better option ;)

part of the reasoning behind it is preferring the clear look of the facelift ones aswell

personally dont see too much difference..I think a good vision in the night is more critical..And better than using cateyes

Hi, just upgraded my headlights, which were so bad I failed the MOT, to the newer mini-facelift (~'98) clear headlights. Mine were imitation ones made by TYC (I saw also some from DEPO) which were considerably cheaper than original Hello units. Looked practically identical though. I got them from a mail-order comany here in Holland for 130 euro who advertised on the net. Just bolt them in, new lamps and get them aligned by garage/MOT place. Needless to say, the dealer was going to change about 4 times that for the same.

Dead chuffed now. Can see again at night :D

The lamps made by depo do not have the fixing lugs and hole for the ajustment motors and cant be ajusted inside the car on the switch ::)

OK, well the ones I have from TYC had the hole where the height adjustment servo from the old just slots in. I explicitly checked this before I bought. Fitted exactly as originals did. Obviously there is some inferior replacement lights around.
