elite 3.0l  engine in limp mode
« on: 20 November 2007, 20:05:40 »

hi,
i bought the car with some air pipes missing.
so i thought they had just been lost.
the eml light was on and it was noisy and gutless.
but cheap.
anyhow i got some air pipes from a breakers and fitted them
thinking the car would run better.
it runs with them on,
but not with them plugged in.
as the pipes that come out the airbox and go down
have sensors/ plugs on them

any ideas?

if they are the really small bore vac hoses then no they do not have electical connectors on them, but they do go to items that have connectors on them.

would it be possible to get some pictures of the units that had no pipework on them? we might be able to point you in the right direction

Are you refering to the big inlet pipes at the front of the engine?

the pipes im talking about come out of the airbox.
and go down the back of the rad.
the first is a bend
they both have sensors in.

and are about 4 inches in diameter
