Hi all, have had a strange rattle since i brought the car, could not for the life of me find it, while doing the oil a little while back i found that the cowling round the exhaust was broken and i thought that may have been the cause, so a bit of wire later i had "mended" this.

nope rattle still there, while going round the car i just happend to nock the nearside wheel and i heard the rattle.

thought it may have been some bushes rattling or something to do with breaking system.

while doing the oil again today (managed to get some water in the cam chamber while doing gaskets ) we had the wheel off and to my surprise i found this.....


now im pretty sure these are irmscher springs, as the front shocks are also irmscher, and the suspension is lowered. i have no idea where i can get one of these from?? is it just easier to get a standard set or would it be worthwhile getting irmscher ones again, handling has been fantastic so dont think its realy done much to it, but would like to get it fixed.

Certainly looks like a chunk of spring.  Irmscher replacements can be obtained if you take time and scan e-bay and similar but, if desperate, standard ones can be substituted, from a breaker if required.
