Camber adjustment - where ??
« on: 15 January 2008, 04:43:46 »

Hi All ,
My Meggy 3.0 Elite (2000 Facelift) is eating the inside of tyres and dont feel right - want to get the camber set up all round , so ...........
Does anyone know of a decent place to do the job near to me as possible ?

I'm based in Newmarket , Suffolk (nearish to Cambridge)

All advice hugely appreciated !

Thanks in advance .... hopefully !

Probably doesn't help much but WIM moved to Hemel Hempstead some time ago. Definitely worth a visit as Tony who runs WIM is the best in the business. Some members on here have travelled a couple of hundred miles to get their cars done.

Seems the best out there ..... unless there is anyone who can say different?

Any idea on cost ?  Looking at all 4 corners as 3 tyres wearing on inner edge at an alarming rate !!

A complete setup is just under 100 quid IIRC. Mention that you're an OOF member as I think there's a special deal set up.

This includes a complete geometry setup front and rear and a free check after 2000 miles to ensure the settings are working with respect to tyre wear.

Tony understands what's going on with suspension settings rather than just adjusting until the machine indicates green and, as the setup seems critical on Omegas, I think this is the only way to sort it properly.

Have a chat with him anyway. He may be able to recommend someone locally.

I had a full 4 wheel geometry done on mine and bearing in mind my wheels are non-standard, the cost was about £100 incl. VAT. You could give Tony a call on 07948 427383 and he will probably give you a price over the phone. He also gives a discount to members of this forum. :y
