thought so, was just making sure.

all in for all of those parts from my vauxhall dealer is £165.

if i dont order:-

Gasket, Inlet bridge to head
Gasket, Inlet to Inlet bridge
Gasket, Inlet to Plenum O rings

which i may not need it'll come to £84

do you reckon i should order just the:-

Rocker gaskets
O-rings
Sealent, Black

and try my luck? dont really want to waste £80!!

Chances are the oil will have damaged your spark plugs and leads if leaking for a while so seriously worth thinking about changing them...if the leads are damaged they will end up taking out your dispack otherwise.

My local factors do a lead set for V6, around £45, Bosch I think. I have used them on two cars and not had a problem. Vauxhall price for leads is terrifying.

When you do the job.. where it says "remove the cable tray" .. make sure you do !! I had problems and tried to do it with the cable tray in place ... all that happened was I had to do the whole damned passenger side again ..leaked like a sieve on start-up .. with the cable tray still attached you can't get a smooth fit and will probably snag something like I did  :(

Only good thing was having done it once the second attempt took half the time !!

:)

You can get a Vx Trade Club Card by joining Autobahnstormers for £20 p.a. Most Vx main dealers will then give TC prices on a range of service items and 10/15% trade discount on items not on the TC list.
I've recently done this work on my 2.6l. As Entwood says, do remove the passenger side cable tray completely and take your time.Double check at every stage.
