Just below the cast fuel filter head, there's a black plastic-like circular piece with a multi-plug attached to it. Is this the fuel pre-heater or what? Below this, the fuel filter is screwed-on ... much appreciated ...!

According to EPC, the Vx P/N for the pre-heater is 9266227 and the Kat No. is 58 20 166. If you can identify any of these numbers on the unit, than yes this is it... alternatively post the P/N you can see and I will try to tell you what this unit is.
