Gearbox change-out
« on: 27 January 2008, 20:42:15 »

Hi there,

I remember from last year the problems some members had fitting a new gearbox.  I think it was JamesV6 and TB.

I have found a replacement GB here:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250210246106&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.co.uk%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm37%26satitle%3D250210246106%26fvi%3D1

And I have access to a ramp and whole host of tools plus an extra monkey to help out.

Any pointers, advice or warnings from the crowd?

Come to thtink of it doe this guide relate to the petrol version as well?

Cheers

No, its easy enough.  Ensure the TC is fully mounted on the dog gears of box before fitting

If I can I will look at getting some photos for a step by step when I do it but we're talking beg march at the earliest!

Does this guide apply to the petrol version?

v6 is same process, only need to remove exhaust downpipes, and there are 6 bolts in TC instead of 3
