total shut down
« on: 30 January 2008, 20:19:42 »

Chris took car for a spin today and all was great, fuel consumption now much better, has new rocker gasket and ht leads, went like a dream then all of a sudden with no warning everything shut down...computer, engine everything....loke someone had thrown a switch and turned car off...chris had a job to stop it.
Wouldn't start again until he pushed all the big fuses in on top of the battery.
Any ideas on what it could be

If it started after pushing the very big fuses I'd suggest that one had worked loose !!

These power the ECU among other things so no electrics = no go ...

If you disconnected the battery to do the other work its posible that one had been knocked a tad loose.. if all back in now should be OK ...

:)
