Your biggest problem would be the fact that you want to paint a large area with cans, not very cost effective.

The second thing is cans are ok on smallish areas, but some of the panel work such as roofs and bonnets would take a lot of time and cans, not to mention that getting a consistant finish will be very difficult.

Last car i saw painted in cans was done in matt black, looked really good but was a bit out of the ordinary

There are a couple of members from the South West who may know someone ... if you put your nearest big town in your profile it might help ... "cornwall" is somewhat of a large area !!!  :)

As a rough guide, a professional respray costs about £160 per panel, a panel is a door, or a bonnet, a roof , a boot, a quarter etc. About 11 panels for a four door car, plus bumpers if they are colour coded. Work your way down from there. With all the new regulations from the health and safety nazis and water based paints, environmental disposal etc  it is no longer a cheap adventure. Find a friend with a Clarke compressor and loads of wet and dry to make it cheaper.

A few years back I asked at a local spray shop abouttouching up panels on my car. Really the whole car could do with painting - there's some kind of mark/rust on most panels - the spray shap reckoned that there was £500 of paint alone to do a car as large as an Omega. :o

Try Keith Rule at Nanpean. The best in the business I've heard and he's realistic with his prices.
