Hi Darren.  Is it just the speedo that has packed in or do you have other warning lights up on the dash as well?

Speedo gets impulses from the ABS pickups either side of the diff, if I recall.

Check that all your dash lights illuminate when ignition is first switched on.  If not, some bad lad has probably removed a lamp to cover a fault.  If so, replace the lamps as required (howtoo on speedohead removal in the relevant section, go for a rake around) then post back.

Someone will no doubt assist from there as regards flashing fault codes etc...

Good luck!   :y

Also, when you get a chance, edit your details to show the car you have and where you stay.  Will save others asking and possibly, theres someone clever who stays close to you and can assist.

ps - better to type in lower case rather than capitals.....  Looks like YOU ARE SHOUTING otherwise... ;)

First, DONT SHOUT USING CAPITALS!!

Check the dash lights, not the info display.

Pad wear indicator is a seperate wire on the brakepads.  Probably not replaced when the pads were done.

Good chance its got an LSD fitted.  Normally standard on Police spec cars of that age, but not always....

If it reports low pads, yet they are meaty enough, check the sensors and wiring.

As for the fault code, can you post the specific codes?

There is a wealth of info stored on this site.  Have a rake around the various sections and see whats there....
