New disks, but as blanks?
« on: 07 February 2008, 22:11:26 »

Evening all...
Does anyone know where the O.E disks are made, and/or if I could get hold of some front and rear disks for an MV6, that are blank. I.E haven't been drilled/tapped for our PCD?

Absolutely no idea.....

Perhaps you may get better luck contacting an aftermarket supplier for a blank set but, even then, I recon you would be struggling....

That was my next question... Where's the best place (read cheapest) to get hold of standard discs?

Is there definatly no difference between the omega range?

If you are looking to replace onto an Omega, genuine VX is the best path to go to avoid warping etc.  Lots of sad tales of tears using aftermarket.

Standard across the range on the front except 2.0 upto 1997.  Standard across the range on the rear except vented from 2001.

Roughly £70 a set Trade Club plus vat front, £60 plus for the rear solid, £80 plus vented rear....

Best bet is to get a trade club card from Autobahnstormers for £20.  Arrives in a few days, you will save that at the dealers first time off for the front discs alone...  Retails at £100 plus VAT.

Oh - and prices quoted for the fronts are for discs and pads...

Avoid the e-bay ones.  They will be pattern...
