PROBLEMS

Just purchased first my first omega, a 00 post facelift 2.5cdx auto. Thing is it wont drive forwards and the dip beam wont work even with 2 new h1 bulbs. Anything i should take into consideration/

May need a bit more info regarding the refusal to drive forwards. I take it you've put it in gear?  ;)

Have you checked the fuses for the headlights?

ok sorry, check the selector switch, has it been driven though any floods recently?

No, floods i know about, it wont engage any forward gears.On the the headlight thing when i got it there were no headlight bulbs fitted so i fitted 2 new ones, the only blown fuse was 27a 20amp in the engine box. all advice greaty appreciated.

do Facelift Cdx have HID/Xenons? if so make sure you got right bulb :-?

When you say it wont engage any gears, will the gear lever move, if not put your foot on the brake and you should hear a click from the lever area.

Yeah, its selecting with the lever,....well, the lever moves. it just wont go.
I havent seen the headlights on....but a standard h1 fitted and connected. I'm located in dublin. Should a gallon of be liberally applied to her/

You say it won't drive forwards. Does this mean that it will go backwards then?

You never know, it may help to point someone to the right area?  :-/

It'll drive in reverse alright, oh and there are no stored faults. Anyone familiar with these autoboxes

dont the boxes have their own ECU which dont affect the EML light if there is a fault? maybe try get someone to read the gearbox ECU?

Check the transmission fluid level first, needs to be done hot with engine running.

Yes they do, but only for normal driving lights. The high beam is still conventional bulb. But even so, from memory it is H7, not H1...?
