Best place to get Cambelt kit from
« on: 11 February 2008, 15:40:46 »

Looking to get my Cambelt done at the party on the 23rd and was just checking to see if anyone would know of the best place to get the full kit. Its of a 3.2 v6 2002 elite. I dont have a club card and not sure of what price or where would be best.

Thanks

Steve.

Someone like Autovaux would probably be a decent bet. http://www.autovaux.co.uk but ask them what manufacturer the kits are. Gates, Conti, etc. are reasonable makes. If you've never heard of it politely decline it!

I'm sure someone who's going to Telford will pick one up on TC if you'd rather do it that way...

Ok just had a check with them and told that that it is £102.23. If i sent to money on before would anyone be so kind as to get one for me on TC as i think that it may be at a better price.

Hi,
Just make sure you get the right kit for your engine number.
Someone had fitted the wrong one to my pre neglected Omega.

For my 3.2 Vx No is 93172354  was £94.67 on TC 5 weeks ago.
Are you doing the water pump ??
Also, if you have any problem with the thermostat, this is the time to do it !

Yes, Vx have hiked quite a few prices this year.

I personally don't use the GM kits now since they removed the belt markings which makes fitting a pain and for which Vx technical have no answers as to why........
