cam  belt kit ( gates)

cam belt kit arrived today ready for weekend of swearing if the hbv is anything to go by any one know if its benificial to have the car on ramps or not hopefully this belt will be much better than the belt thats on it now it looks very shiny with no marks left on it also anyone know the size of the crankshaft bolt i will need to turn as i am borrowing the sockets from a mate and he is unsure what his biggest one is

thanks i appreciate all the help i recieved since joining this forum i had a calibra 16v 4x4 before this omega and am a member of club calibra another god forum sorry to see that car go went like stink

Sounds about right. I know it's bigger than the E18 I'd bought to do my wife's Astra.  ;)

Hi All,
Can confirm Crankshaft bolt head is E 20


Ring spanner to adjust position of tensioner pulley before tightening is 30 mm

and it needs to be an 30mm offset ring spanner (not a socket)

(someone correct me if I'm wrong pls)
