new wheels and tyres
« on: 15 February 2008, 15:31:27 »

hey all.
easy question here for you as im not too sure what to do here. i have at the moment got 205/55/r16 tyres on my car. Can i change my wheels to 17" with 205/40 17 on them, have seen some real nice alloys i like.

not sure 205/40    17" exists..

225, 235 size must be the option I think..

Also the PCD size must be 5*110 and offset between 36-45 IIRC

your existing wheels are most likely 225/55/16, most suited size upgrade should be 235/45/17, and yes, 5x110 et 35-45

Shouldn't be any problem. I have 17" Azev alloys on mine with 235/40 R17 on the front and 265/40 R17 on the rear.
