« on: 15 February 2008, 18:40:55 »

this ones a bit odd on my son in laws 99 3.0 elite his headlights looked dim so he got new bulbs for them only to find they are standard bulb fittings
he has self leveling ie. no ajustment inside car and headlight washers and the projector lens

Sounds like this car should have HID lamps. Is that what bulbs you have bought?

I'm guessing you'll need at least the ballasts off the back of the headlights and to chop and change the wiring a little. Try to get some ballasts second hand (they'll be pricy new) with the connectors and 6" or so of loom attached so you can splice in the correct connectors.

I am no help to you here, but the lights on my N reg Elite 3.0 Estate are............. underwhelming. Is it just new bulbs or is there something clever I am missing?
TIA as always

Need new HID units or replacement ones at least and the power pack if they are not there either...the connector is different but its one extra wire...if all else is as it should be then it should work...
