difficulty changing my v6 cambelt!
« on: 16 February 2008, 10:40:43 »

Hi, I am attempting to change my cambelt but have hit difficulty.
I put the crank locking tool on and rotate the engine for it to lock on the waterpump. All the cam markings go past the markings on the case by about 1 centimetre.
Am I doing something wrong?
The locking tool seems to only go on one way.

If anyone can help I would be very grateful
Cheers, Luke
