Presumably he hacked about with the knock sensor wires thinking they are the oxygen sensor wires? Can't see why else they should have been disturbed. It's a shame because it's quite straightforward to solder a wire to the tops of the connector pins on that ECU loom, leaving the factory wiring untouched.

An auto electrician who can't count the pins on an ECU plug has a level of usefulness down at the Choccy Teapot end of the scale.  >:(
