Squeak
« on: 21 February 2008, 09:25:11 »

Morning all, When I start my car, a strange squeak comes from the glove box, and yes I have checked for rodents, it only sounds for a second. I would be interested to know what it may be, any ideas?

If you disable the climate control does it still happen?

Removing the blower is not much fun!

Failing that... Is the noise actually from under the bonnet? Could be a tired aux. belt thats slipping a little due to damp when first started.

Try overriding the fan speed when it's squeaking, if that changes the noise  then I think it must be the fan.

If you can get it out it probably just needs lubricating.
