wee problem with windscreen washers... drivers side works as it should, but the passenger side isnt "squirting".. plenty of water comming through, it sjust not squirting up the windscreen, have put a pin in them to clear and adjust the nozzles (drivers side was slightly blocked) but to no avail... assuming it could be a common problem or something.. any ideas?

Often caused by a bit of dirt/grit or .. in hard water ares .. limescale.

My solution is to "back flush", using a piece of fish-tank air hose over the nozzle leading up to a small plastic bottle with the other end of the hose sealed to it, this allows a small amount of pressure to be applied by squeezing the bottle, (an old washing up liquid bottle is what I use .. nozzle the right size !! )  I disconnect the end of the pipe as near to the pump as I can ... easy on the facelifts   If a bottle full (about a pint) of clear water doesn't solve it, I repeat using some kettle descaler in the water and do short squeezes every 5 minutes for about a half hour, then flush with clean water.

In many years (too many to mention) this has always sorted this problem out  ..

Sure you got a pin far enough in, mine are far too small for that....


I use a length of brass picture wire, very fine, goes in no problem, jiggle it about a bit, and sorted  

Have you also cleaned the filter attacted to the pump, that also causes poor flow.

I use a piece of clean wire pulled from a wire brush, it is small enough diameter to clear the jets and stiff enough to adjust jet angle.

P.S. just grip piece of wire with pliers and pull it from the wire brush, best to use a new wire brush.

I agree with Jimbob, poss blocked filter at the pump... have known the jets to block with the use of cheap quality screenwash or too higher concentration of screenwash.. it crystalises and causes the blockage..
