Afternoon guys

Just started to do wishbones and i've fallen at the first hurdle :'(

What size is the pinch bolt on bottom balljoint? assuming metric as german design and it must be 19mm because thats the one missing out of my socket set >:(
17mm don't fit and 20mm is too big am i right??

ps it's peeing down so i've given up- SWMBO said lets go down the pub for lunch so who am i to argue :)

Omega does use some 18mm around it (and 18mm doesn't exist in most cheaper sets).

Really cant remember size, sorry

It's an 18mm.

I had to buy a socket specially. Buy a sturdy 6 sided socket 'cause that bolt can be tight.

3/4" is the same size as 19 mm (well 19.05 mm actually!!  ;))

Done droplinks this morning....  GM ones came off, they were 18mm bolt FAI ones went back on they were 19mm..

Pretty sure the pinch bolt is 18mm :y

Just done mine  and they were 18mm. Try and get  a 6  sided socket as theyn are usually a bit rusted and tight.

thanks to all who replied - i tried a very cheap 19mm 3/8"drive and it slipped  so put a vernier on the nut and i could have sworn it was 18mm but as i've never owned or used an 18mm i pressumed it was 19mm ::)
down to partco next week for an 18mm (and replacement 19) and have another go.

You'll want a 1/2" drive 18mm... an air impact wrench struggled to free one of mine.
