Autobox q's

This might sound a silly question...but where's the filler/dipstick tube?

Mine's got a strange habit - once warmed up, it "slips" in 4th (over 50mph) on light throttle (stays in lockup either on the overrun or over about 25% throttle - yet this figure is a little lower if its warming up).  It's also a bit "surgin" between gear changes.

Normally i'd just give it a oil change (are there changeable filters?) or two...or could it be the dreaded thrust washer?

Oh..BTW - also looks like the "S" light has been disconnected (Sport mode works, but the light doesn't come on...) - can you get fault codes from the transmission, like the engine with the paperclip test?  I expect strange flashings if I manage to reinstate it...

There is no dipstick, filler/level plug is on the right hand side of the box.
Level should be checked warm, engine running after running the selector through the gears.

If you take out the plug with engine off, fluid will/should escape.

Transmission has no paperclip type test.
