The ECU will store codes for a number of clean starts so it might well be a left over from the duff battery.

the car has had its new battery now for a month and has been in constant use thought it could only hold the code for 20 -25 restarts :-/

I asume its had that many good starts?

Is the ECU light on, I guess it is due to the cam sensor fault.

I guess its also limiting to 4000ish rpm.

Very interesting

Can you measure the battery voltage with the engine revving at 300rpm?

Replace the cam sensor.....

Then clear the codes and see what comes back.

.....Or just clear the codes and see what comes back regardless.

I thought the low battery one did clear itself after so many clean starts - I know not all codes do though.
