Rear centre seat belt
« on: 26 March 2008, 12:38:24 »

I've been trying to get a rear centre seat belt for my estate to get it through its NCT ( MOT) over here. I'm just going to fit a lap belt temporarily to get it through but the hunt goes on as I want to keep the spec. correct. I've looked at photos of the saloons on 'trader but cannot see the top of the seat on any of the photos to see if the belt passes down through the rear parcel shelf or is, as I hope, situated inside the rear seat frame as per the estate . Can anybody help me in identifying the position of the seat belt reel on a facelift saloon ? Inside the seat carcase or down on the boot floor area.

The reel on a saloon sits on the rear shelf and has two buckles, one of them fits an extra receiver so that you can retain the through boot loading facility. The 2nd buckle fits another receiver in the normal way.

Oh well , looks like that idea went south.
I've found that the Vectra B estate has it fitted as per Omega so one is winging it's way over the Irish sea as we speak.
Thanks for your help.
