i cant get the nut undone on the autobox to check the level, thread is knackered, any ideas as ive not a lot of room underneath

Are you just checking the level or doing a full renew? If the latter you are going to have to take the sump off anyway so you might be able to work on the bolt easier with it off.

I had the same problem but as I was doing a full change I took the sump off complete and drilled the fooka out.

Either try some good monkey grips or save it for another weekend

i'll probably pay m8s dad to do it, hes a mechanic, save me the hassle  i think

A lot of them seem to have been fitted (at the factory) rather too tight. A few people on here have had problems, me included.
