am sure i read on here somewhere about somebody kept geting a fault and a light flagged on the egr? anyone remember it cos i cant find it!! got one here thats just had new egr complete fitted cos it kept flagging the light  on as soon as you started it, and it made no difference at all, its still wont run properly and is blowing out smoke  certainly looks like an egr fault but it isnt any comments gratefully recieved!!!

No idea about the diseasels but can you not blank the EGR off like you can with the V6?

No idea about the diseasels but can you not blank the EGR off like you can with the V6?

not at the moment its a customers car that failed the mot on emissions and i have to fix it at the mot station!!!! :-[

Was it me?

I got the engine light come on every so often, dropped the power completely until it would randomly clear. Would clear if I turned the engine off and then on again.

Turned out to be a whole in a small (2mm) pipe connected to some valve connected to the EGR.
