Tax disc antenna is for a 3rd party phone kit.

Sat nav aerial is the base part of the roof antenna.

All the wiring for the roof antenna runs down the right hand side of the car.

Check the connection behind head unit - its the smaller of the 2 aerial connections.  In particular, pay attention to cage being distorted, as this causes poor connection.

Soz, I'm nearer Brum than London...

To test if it is the cage, pop radio out, remove cage, and plug connections directly into back of stereo. I fit works then, just bend the cage a little :)

Which bit, removing radio, or removing cage?

If radio, you have removed the grub screws and are using proper radio removal keys (as opposed to just trying to pry it out, which will break it)?

Yup, need a set of double din removal keys (Halfords, £4).  Possible to do with nails etc, but I'd recommend using the proper keys ;)

The entire radio comes out - the 7" x 4" (and about 7" deep) bit.  Removal keys go in the corners of the bin that comes out.

Hope that makes sense?

If you are that concerned about doing it, if ever you pass my way (nr Jnc 10 of M40, or 15mins from Jnc15a or M1), I will gladly have a look at it for you...
