Hi guys...i need abit off help as last week i brought my 1st omega on a 1994 M reg 2.0i 16v CD but this morning on the way to getting it mot'd the clutch started slipping!! so am not sure if u can adjust the clutch cable or do i need a clutch fitted?its got 149k on the clock and had a new clutch fitted at 104k so not really sure wot to do with it now HELP IF anyone can thanks

clutches on the manual tend to be pritty damn stronge, was the replacement clutch pattern or OEM?

The clutch is hydraulic. Might be worth bleeding  :-/

is the bite point quite high up the peddel?

yes the bite point is high m8....i think its a cable clutch to but not sure tho

when i brought it had been standing for about 2 months so if its a hydraulic clutch wud that make any diffrence it being left in gear all that time and the clutch to slip in anyway?its seem ok when cold tho

The clutch pedal disengages drive between the clutch plate & flywheel so I can't see bleeding it making any difference. If the clutch is slipping then either the clutch plate is worn out ..... surprised after 40k odd miles or the pressure plate is fubar'd

I'd take it apart & look, before I bought anything. 40k odd miles does seem to be a very short time for a clutch though, unless of course it hasn't been disengaging properly & wearing out that way.

Depends how previous owner drove it.......ie holding on inclines slipping the clutch.......isnt gonna do it any favours and will wear the clutch out sooner

if you guna strip it ur probly best change it, if its sliping and the bite point is towards the end of the pedle lift the it sounds more than likely a friction disc is worn

if it was hyralic side you should have difficulty getting it into gear

That was my line of thought when I  swapped the gear box on my Astra. If I'd looked at what was already there I could've saved c£100 on a pressure plate & friction plate.

I have find it harder to get it into gear when cold but its not slipping when cold only when warm and it gets easy to get into gear when warmer tho....so maybe it need bleeding  :-/

the selecting gear when cold could just be the syncro mesch, my punto has that problem,
still think it could be friction disc,, could try process of elimation, start be bleeding clutch, looking for leaks???

No leaks around the bell housing? Could be contamination of the clutch friction surface due to crank / input shaft oil seal failure?

Either way, I think it probably needs to come off for a look.
